Mighty Band of Brothers

When I became active in the SA, about ten years ago, there appeared to be a barrier between the BB and the SA. This was strange to me as the SA is supposed to be an organization for the old boys and officers of the BB.

The lyric of this song ??The more we are together, the merrier we will be??, always ring in my mind and this is what the BB and the SA should be all about.

The good news is that we are there or at least almost there. In our recent AGM, there are at least six currently serving BB who agreed to serve in our Management Committee. On the BB Week collection, we struggled for the past four years to raise ??miserable?? sum of around $3000 per year. For 2006, we broke all records and collected a sum of $12,880 for the BB, all glory must be given to the Lord.

We have organized a Soccer Tournament, and coming up the Basketball and the Bowling Tournament which will involve both current and past BB Boys. Although the participation of the Soccer Tournament was poor, we should not lose heart as ??The journey always starts with the first step??.

This year, our BB Founder??s Dinner will be drastic change from the past. The Organizing Committee has decided that it should be an evening garden party at the BB HQ and hopefully we can attract as many BB Companies to join us as possible.

Finally, I would like to thank the following for their dedicated services in the past, they are Michael Song, J.P. David, Andrew Ng, Chng Siang Lee. I welcome the following to serve on our 37^th Management Committee (2006), they are Albert Ching, Robin Eng, Edwin Lim, Ronnie Sim, Philip Low and David Seet (co-opted).

We look forward for a year, where we do not focus on ourselves but to focus on our Great Captain, the Lord Himself.
